Cash Hollistah is a national hip-hop recording artist, poet, and philanthropist based in Salina, Kansas.
A passionate advocate for the arts, Hollistah cites a creative writing class he took as a sophomore in high school as the main catalyst for pursuing a career in music. That pursuit lead him to create events in his hometown of Salina – from battle rap competition, "Move The Crowd,” to the monthly open-mic poetry series “ONEMiC," whose home was the Ad Astra stage. These events, along with his music, and his work with students in schools and churches across the state, have gained him a reputation as a community leader, as well as the admiration of many who benefit from his efforts.
Ad Astra Books & Coffee House
is more than just a comfortable and interesting place to hang out, study, and buy books. It’s quickly becoming a leading cultural center for regional literature and arts, and a thriving community gathering place.
With live music, author readings, poetry nights, book clubs, open mics, a children’s area, and more, our programming and outreach define our larger mission: to keep the torch of the imagination lit, and use it to reveal this place called Kansas and these undeniably Great Plains.
